Yak Cheese Factory - Langdu Village, China.
Founded in 2004, the factory uses fresh milk brought down from the pristine, untouched Yunnan mountains each morning. Having undergone Western cheesemaking training, the cheesemaking family creates distinctive cheeses from their traditional yak milk. The project is a social entrepreneurial project that has created an innovative product that helps provide opportunities for the local villages, while using a readily available resource: the yak.
