Japan by Bullet Train

Japan | By Bullet Train

Japan, the world's second largest economy and 10th largest by populations (127 million), is a blur of motion, energy, and the combinations of the old and new in the greatest sense of the Taoist "Yin and Yang." The mix of the postmodern skyscrapers of Tokyo, the mind-boggeling efficiency of the whizzing bullet train system, the cordial bowing service workers around every corner, and the gentle temple gardens makes Japan an interesting and distinctly unique country. Japan is a culture, a place and a world that must be felt rather than just explained it is a culture that is both harmoneous yet competative, old but new, vibrant yet gentle. I had a spectacular time, and thus far it is the culture that seems the most different from my own.
