<p>I was working as part of a volunteer team doing cataract surgeries to help restore vision to people on the remote outlying islands of Fiji were these services would otherwise be unavailable (and unaffordable).</p>

Shot on a cold morning a few weeks ago on a cattle muster across the sandy soil of the Outback south of Alice Springs, Australia.  (Lesson learned: cowboys/stockmen don&#8217;t use horses anymore, they&#8217;ve been replaced by quad bikes). Photographed July 17, 2009.
