- Now on NZ south island, just boarded the Tranz Coastal train to Christchurch, running right down the coast. #
- Arrived in Christchurch. Its 8pm. Everything is closed(what?). Where shall I eat? Sleep? Hmmm… 3/4 the way across NZ, 1 more day to go. #
- Excellent falafel 4 dinner. Found a guesthouse. Tmrw off to my final destination: Dunedin, 5 hrs away. Take a bus @ 7am ($18) OR hitchhike? #
- Ive decide to stay in Christchurch today and have a look around. By the looks of things I'm back in Europe. #

- I scored a free rental car for two days! Back on the trans-New Zealand journey south, now on the way to Timaru. #
- Successful trans-New Zealand trip! Auckland>Dunedin. 4days, 1404km, 3buses, 2trains, 1ferry, 1car, 1 green-lipped mussel dinner. Beautiful. #
