From Saigon to Hanoi: A Train Trip Across Vietnam (Photos)
A fantastic way to see Vietnam is to take advantage of the train that runs from Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) in the south to Hanoi in the north. The train parallels the coast with numerous possible stops along the way. Our trip took us from South to North with stops in Danang, Hoi Ann and Hue before arriving in Hanoi.
Train travel in Vietnam is safe, inexpensive, and a fantastic way to meet locals, while seeing a lot of the country. The food is delicious and there’s plenty of English across the country, so you’ll have no problem finding a place to eat or sleep.
Here are a few photos from the trip.
