Andy, catching up on your blog. This entry is great…ironically, Vassi and I went to a Turkish bath on a Greek Island a few weeks ago. Same sorts of gafs happened to us, and while we conformed to the nakedness and rules of the bath, we totally freaked out a tourist from the UK who had come in her bikini and hightailed it out of the bath/massage room soon after we entered.

Jenni, I’m trying to convince my travelogue readers that I’m smart, so I purposely left out the fact in this story that I got my backpack stuck in an elevator (while wearing it) on the way into the hotel and then tried to pretend I wasn’t stuck while speaking broken English to the clerk at the front desk. My travelogue readers would think I was stupid if they knew that happened, so I’m not going to post that here.

Man, didn’t you ever watch that wonderful Tom Selleck film “Mr. Baseball?” You would have learned that you wash first, then bathe. I.E. don’t jump into the tubs until you’ve cleaned up first.
